Promote the modernization of drilling technology and equipment, accelerate the exploration and development of mineral resources

Abstract: the author of this paper has been engaged in the research and management of drilling technology for a long time, and has a deep understanding of the current situation of domestic drilling technology and international advanced drilling technology and experience. The author thinks that at present, the geological drilling equipment in China is old and aging, the technical method is backward, the drilling efficiency is low, and the labor intensity of the drilling workers is very large, which is far from meeting the requirements of strengthening geological work and accelerating mineral exploration. It is pointed out that in order to accelerate the exploration and development of mineral resources, we should vigorously promote the modernization of drilling technology and equipment, learn from and learn from the international advanced technology and experience, and it is very important to research and develop the advanced drilling technology, equipment and technology suitable for China's national conditions. In this regard, the author puts forward seven specific suggestions: 1) R & D and application of full hydraulic top drive geological core drilling machine series; 2) R & D of the fourth generation of geological core drilling machine - automatic core drilling machine; 3) R & D and vigorously promote the application of modern advanced directional drilling technology; 4) R & D and application of vertical lift aircraft relocation drilling equipment method and technology to accelerate mineral exploration in hard to enter areas; 5) strengthen exploration With the support of mineral engineering research and development institutions, it promotes the research and development of advanced and practical geological drilling equipment; 6) China Geological Survey strengthens the contact and cooperation with China Geological Equipment Corporation, carries out business guidance, and continues to promote the "Three Combinations" of production, learning and research; 7) accelerates the training of drilling technicians, and establishes the promotion and application mechanism of advanced geological equipment.

The shortage of mineral resources has become a "bottleneck" restricting China's economic development. Strengthening geological work and ensuring the supply of mineral resources is an important task for China's economic construction in the future. Drilling engineering is one of the important technical methods of mineral exploration, and it is the only way to obtain physical samples directly from the underground strata. However, at present, the geological drilling equipment in China is old and aging, the technical methods are backward, the drilling efficiency is low, and the labor intensity of drilling workers is very large, which is far from meeting the requirements of strengthening geological work and accelerating mineral exploration. "Decision of the State Council on strengthening geological work" and "outline of medium and long term scientific and technological development plan of the Ministry of land and resources (2006-2020)" emphasize that "geological work must implement the scientific development concept" and "geological work must apply high and new technology". Therefore, to accelerate the exploration and development of mineral resources, we should vigorously promote the modernization of drilling technology and equipment, learn from and learn from the advanced technology and experience in the world, and research and develop the advanced drilling technology, equipment and technology applicable to China's national conditions is very important. To this end, the following understandings and suggestions are put forward.

1、 R & D and application of full hydraulic top drive geological core drilling machine series

The development of geological core drilling rigs in the world has gone through four stages: (1) mechanical drilling rigs operated by handlebars before 1960s; (2) hydraulic vertical shaft drilling rigs started to be used in 1960s; (3) full hydraulic pressure top drive (power head) drilling rigs started to be used in 1970s; (4) automatic drilling rigs started to be developed in mid-1990s. Due to the advantages of high drilling efficiency, low labor intensity and suitable for various drilling processes, the third generation core drilling rig has been widely used in mineral exploration in many countries, with a wide range of applications, from shallow hole (100m) to deep hole (3000m). At present, the widely used geological core drilling machine in China is still in the second stage, that is, the hydraulic vertical shaft core drilling machine. The drilling efficiency of this kind of drilling machine is low. For example, the domestic XY-4 vertical shaft drilling machine is used in a mining area by the Geological Exploration Bureau of Qinghai Province, and the hourly drilling footage is only about 1 meter, while the imported lf-90 full hydraulic pressure top drive drilling machine is more than 3 meters under the same conditions, and the drilling efficiency is increased by three times. In addition, the versatility and standardization of vertical shaft drilling machine are very poor, the adaptability of drilling technology is limited, and there is a lack of models with a depth of more than 2000m, etc. *

The ydx-3 (explorer No.1) full liquid pressure top drive core drilling rig was developed by the exploration technology research institute last year, which has been welcomed in the field and is being popularized and applied. However, we still need to continue to complete the research and development of this kind of core drilling machine series, especially the deep hole drilling machine with a depth of more than 2000m, in order to meet the deepening needs of mineral resources exploration in China. *

2、 Research and development of the fourth generation of geological core drilling machine - automatic core drilling machine

In the mid-1990s, the core drilling equipment once again made revolutionary technological progress, that is, the fully automatic drilling machine was put into practical application. The new generation of automatic drilling rig was first born in two mining developed countries - Sweden and Canada. Atlas Copco of Canada has successfully developed diamec 264apc and diamec 284 fully automatic drilling rigs, while JKS Boyle of Sweden has developed B series automatic drilling rigs. All of these drilling rigs adopt the drilling mode of full hydraulic top drive device, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic integration and computer control. The diamec 264apc drilling rig has an average drilling speed of 12m and a monthly efficiency of 1000m. The reason for its high drilling efficiency is that it can automatically and continuously measure and monitor the changes of underground strata and hole bottom conditions, and adjust the drilling parameters at any time (within 0.1s) to ensure the best drilling speed. At the same time, because of this automatic control drilling method, it can improve the life of the bit, reduce the wear of the drill pipe, reduce the accidents such as core plugging and burning, thus greatly reducing the drilling cost. This type of drilling rig only needs one person to operate in the field. All the driller needs to do is to observe the console panel, adjust the corresponding knob in time, and also do other work (such as
